Overpronation

"The Deserae sandals were causing my feet and ankles to turn inward (overpronation) I think due to the heels not being supportive and the footbed being uneven; adjusting the velcro strap did nothing to correct this. I also felt the ball of my feet were not supported by the sole of the sandal; I could feel the unevenness of the sole when walking, the front being much thinner than the heel. Overall, I feel the design of the sole of the sandal is very poor in providing stability and support. The toe of the sandal was also uncomfortably snug and the size 9 that was purchased just barely fits."

"I love them. I wear a 10 AAAA. This is the only sandal that fits I love the adjustable strap across the front of the shoe. It keeps my foot from sliding around in the shoe. The support is great for my knees and hips. I have purchased two other pairs."

"I love the Deserae slide! I order a new pair or two every summer, because I positively live in them! They conform to my feet, they stay on my feet, and they are kind to my bunions. Those of you with bunions understand the difficulty in finding shoes and sandals that don't hurt! These sandals look and feel great even after day long wear. I have all the colors, but I do wish they would bring back that summer orange color."

"Baretraps sandals (i have four pairs) have given me my quality life back, with a history of broken ankle, fractured knee, torn hamstring and plantar fasciitis, my ability to get around has been compromised, however Baretraps sandals give me hours of walking comfortably, even my chiropractor is impressed with the stability and construction of baretraps sandals , highly recommend!"

2nd Desirae pair

"I have worn my Desirae sandals hiking through streams and trails; even without a back strap, they held my foot in place, and the Rebound Technology really works!! I have expensive running shoes that are not as stable or comfortable!! Just bought my 2nd pair because I am wearing out the first pair, but I wear them every chance I get."

I wanted to like these.

"I wanted to like these. I have an old pair of bear traps that I just love even now that the velcro is worn out etc. But these don't work out. I can see why some people like them but I found the toe slot uncomfortable. I am not really a slide sandal person. I took a chance on these because the overarch strap looked solid. My heeo still moved around a lot in the back . My only other alternative was the Danny and I just didn't like the way that looked or the material on top. So I'm a little sad that I didn't have a beartrap that worked out. I ended up giving them away because I had already destroyed the box to return them in. I'm sure they're fine for some people but they just weren't a good match for me."
